Adding value to LVL

Nelson company Gibbons Construction won the contract for an extension to the LVL building, that will house a fabrication line to add value to NelsonPine LVL.

A Hundegger fabrication line, purchased from suppliers in Germany, will be installed and commissioned early in 2014. This will allow NPIL to produce posts and beams, increasing the capacity to grow the market for Laminated Veneer Lumber; an environmentally sound, earthquake safe, engineered building material that is gaining traction in the commercial construction sector.
