Honour from Sumitomo Forestry

Nelson Pine Industries was given a special award this year by its parent company, at the annual Sumitomo Forestry Group Achievement Awards in Tokyo. At a function that was marked by the Japanese sense of occasion, Managing Director Murray Sturgeon was given a Certificate of Achievement from SFC President Akira Ichikawa, presented by Vice President Hitoshi (Harry) Hayano.

The citation on the Certificate of Achievement reads:
“You established a stable supply production system and achieved a worldwide reputation for quality. This was the result of everyone’s efforts and you are a role model for Sumitomo Forestry Group. We hereby present this certificate and a prize in recognition of your outstanding performance. Presented this July 7, 2014.”
